- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I went into QE2 on Friday night with a Cyst that was turning into an abscess. Unfortunately I turned up too late so the GP has left. They referred me to Lister because of the infection. After spending 6 and a half hours in lister they didn't look at my back they just threw antibiotics at me and told me to leave. After spending 24 hours in excruciating pain I called the 111 service yesterday morning for help, I instantly got a call from a GP from QE2 and then an appointment 30 minutes later. I was in the waiting room at the QE2 for no more than 10 minutes the GP was the man I spoke to on the phone, he listened to me, checked my back, my temperature which was 40/37. Instead of just throwing the antibiotics at me, he gave me instructions on what to do, pain medication so I could cope. I was in the QE2 no more than 20 minutes. I have never left when visiting hospitals etc that I wasn't actually taken seriously (I have quite a few medical problems) QE2 actually made me feel like I'm being taken seriously and that I didn't need to keep constantly fighting to get it done. ❤by Stephanie PatrickAugust 03, 2017
